Where are you located?

We are located on the South-East corner of 91st Avenue and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria.

We share a parking lot with both CVS and Journey Church. We are in the furthest East section of the parking lot.

Sunday Gathering

We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00am and 10:45am for two identical services. There are classrooms for children from young babies through 4th grade available, and children are always welcome to join parents in service as well if parents prefer. We also stream the 10:45 service online at www.christbible.church/livestream for those who cannot join in person. We hope you can join us for service soon!

What Do your services look like?

We believe that we should gather together as God's people to worship Him. We do this each week by singing, praying, taking communion, and hearing God's word. We typically preach expositionally, which means we preach through the Bible section by section so as to pursue the full counsel of God and what he has to reveal to his people through his word.

Our normal service order begins with a reading of scripture followed by a prayer, then a few songs of praise, a message from God’s Word, Communion, a few songs of responsive praise, and then finally the sending of God’s people out for the week.

Children 5th grade and up are encouraged to participate in the main service with their families. We believe this is a great opportunity to encourage our children to develop and mature under the guidance of a church family who truly loves them.We provide good coffee and invite you to help yourself before and after the service.

Where should I bring my children?

We offer classes for children from birth to 4th grade on Sunday mornings with curriculum specifically designed for their age group. However, if you choose to bring your children into main service, there will be activity packs that can be picked up as you enter the lobby, put together by our Children’s Director, Courtney.

What should I expect during the service?

We believe the core of what we do as a church is open the Bible to explore God’s word. A majority of our time is spent going through the Bible section by section as a result. Everything else we do during the flow of the service points us to the truth found in the Bible. Typically our service begins with a reading of scripture followed by a prayer, then a few songs of praise, a message from God’s Word, Communion, a few songs of responsive praise, and then finally the sending of God’s people out for the week.

OFFERING OURSELVES AND OUR GIFTS

The offering is a way for Christians to support the mission and ministry of the church. Christians offer a sacrificial portion of their resources–time, talents, possessions–as an act of faith and gratitude in response to God’s grace. Offerings are a part of our worship service as an opportunity for the regular, proportionate and generous giving of the resources God has given us.  We provide a box at the rear of the worship center to receive the gifts of our members and friends.

COMMUNION

Communion, also called The Lord’s Supper or the Eucharist, is the family meal of Christians. We invite all committed followers of Jesus Christ to partake of this sacrament: those who are at peace with God and with their neighbor, and who seek strength to live more faithfully for Christ. If you are not a Christian, or if you are not prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer. We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with His people, the church.
